Great, peaceful and clean place

Pros: Great location, super clean and well stocked, Mary is amazing host. Great value for your money.

Pros: Todo estupendo, inmejorable. La playa del Obispo está cerca de la Libertad (10 minutos paseando) por lo que estás alejado de la ciudad pero a un momentito paseando. A un paso, en la carretera, puedes dejar el bus para llegar. Te aconsejo dejarlo en el Pollo Campero y bajar la cuesta. El hotel tiene habitación bonita con baño en la habitación, amenities, aire acondicionado y una cocina y comedor que puedes utilizar con café, infusiones y nevera para guardar tus cosas. Pero, lo mejor con diferencia fue Mery. Estuvo atenta en todo momento, me dió consejos de lugares que visitar y fue una amiga durante las cuatro noches que estuve. Gracias, Mery.

Cons: En la definición de la reserva no indica claramente que las habitaciones están entrando por el hotel La Marea en la tercera planta por lo que tuve que preguntar en un restaurante y ellos me indicaron. Ni en la reserva ni en las fotos indican la temporada que no tiene playa sino solo piedra. Yo estuve en octubre y no hay playa únicamente piedras enormes.

Playa Obispo La Libertad

Pros: The community, surfers, and an abundance of restaurants. The weather was calliente. The shore was treacherous to anyone save surfers who dare plunge like seals where rocks lie just beneath the surface. The staff, Marre, Karen, and Ester, were most gracious in providing assistance from laundry, to preparing meals or keys to the property.

Cons: The power went out my 1st day from 8am till 6pm due to public works construction. The restaurant was closed due to a death in the family throughout my stay till the last day. I was offered use of a staff kitchen and fridge to prepare my own meals. The linens were only changed when I changed them myself with directions from the staff as to where fresh towels and sheets were located.

Convenient stay for exploring beaches

Pros: Easy parking. Right on the beach. Quick 10 minute walk to Sunset Park.

Cons: A few spiders around. If that bothers you then it may not be your thing. Also the entrance road coming down to the cross street it is on, has several pot holes over a cobblestone-ish road

Fine for short stays

Pros: The local host, Mary, as well as the visiting owner, from Los Angeles, are both very nice and helpful. The shared kitchen is very well stocked with all items needed for preparing meals and drinks. A drinking water dispenser is provided free of charge. My room was quite spacious with strong a/c.

Cons: Large, firm pillows on the bed were not comfortable for me. The owner spent a significant amount of time at a table in the shared kitchen chain-smoking, so each time I used the kitchen, I was exposed to secondhand smoke and odors.
