Gorgeous location in Suchitoto

Pros: The location is perfect. Stunning views, gorgeous courtyard, still close enough to walk to restaura and the main plaza.

Cons: The AC was a little loud which made it difficult to sleep.

Pros: The Staff were great, the quiet and private location, the breakfast was nice and it was close to so many restaurants

Pros: We loved the beautiful traditional Salvadorian house, the stunning garden, and the amazing view on the lake. Service was perfect and staff and owners were welcoming and friendly. We loved that it was a small hotel with few rooms.

This property was amazing and in a great location in a very unique town!

Pros: This place is amazing! The pictures on line do not do it justice! We were met by the host when we arrived and he showed us to our 2 rooms and allowed us to enjoy his beautiful property and views. This property is so unique and decorated with his artwork. The host also runs some tours in the area and took us out on a birdwatching boat tour on Lake Suchitan at sunset. So cool! It was an easy walk into town where we found a great restaurant by the square and a fun vibe. Wish we could have stayed here longer!

Wonderful place to stay

Pros: Beautiful property with a view of the lake. Watched birds from their garden. Lots of space to lounge and relax. Room was spacious and a big breakfast was included. Location was ideal as we easily walked to nearby restaurants. Tours offered by the owner (fluent in English) were affordable and went beyond my expectations. Really enjoyed my stay and appreciated that the owners are willing to share their little piece of paradise in Suchitoto.

A lovely hotel in a stunning location, but make sure to have cash to pay as they don’t take cards

Pros: It’s location is stunning looking out over the lake, with an easy short walk into the town. Our bedroom was beautiful and very large. The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and relax and eat breakfast. The family who run it are friendly and helpful.

Cons: The only thing thing was when we were about to leave they told us we had to pay cash. We had assumed that as they had our card details from Booking they could use that. We were only travelling through El Salvador for work on a trip between Tegucigalpa and Guatemala City and didn’t have much cash. We were already leaving later than planned (as we’d had a lovely relaxing breakfast in the garden) and had a long trip back to Guatemala City ahead of us. In the end we were able to pay through an app which they use in El Salvador but it took quite a bit of time to sort out and was unnecessary stress. It should say on the booking page that only cash is accepted.

Pros: I was looking for a place that was a bit quieter to stay and with great internet. I was working remotely, and this place was excellent! I was able to work in the garden with the beautiful view of the lake, as well as from my room with no issues having video calls. René was very responsive before and during my stay through Whatsapp, and Ms. Dora made an excellent breakfast each day, and was a pleasure to meet. The location was also great, not too far from the central park.

Pros: The host greeted us upon arrival, he was very kind and showed us to our room. He gave us our keys and left us there to accommodate and get settled. (With a yummy lemonade, must add).

Cons: Everything was very nice, the facilities were beautiful and clean. The one little detail I could have gone without is the barking of the dogs every time we walked by. Cute and harmless dogs, but very noisy. Everything else was perfect.
