Good stay in beautiful Suchitoto

Pros: I enjoyed my stay! Friendly people (and dog), comfortable bed, decent shower, clean and basic and cheap breakfast available.

Cons: No clothes hooks (as usual), mesh screen window broken and no opportunity to lock my bathroom. And yes, the rooster(s) are pretty loud so prepare yourself! ;-)

Pros: I had a comfortable stay at the Hostal Raices de mi Pueblo. Milena, its host, is a very attentive lady.

Pros: The hostel was Nice. Got to choose my room and got a private bathroom. It is close to the lake and the centre. The breakfast was not much but Nice.

Cons: Its not cheap, but nothing is in Suchitoto. Lots of mosquitos. Its not a social place.

Amazing place in a quite town

Pros: Melina the staff was really helpful, the place was beautiful, the breakfast delicious.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: It was lovely to sit and eat breakfast next to the forest listening to the birds. Peaceful balcony area with a hammock. Great location very close to the lancha port and the town centre.

Cons: Fan in room was very loud and not that effective.

Great hostel with good facilities and well located.

Pros: Room was a good size and airconned, beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious and it wasn’t too far from the centre or the lake.

Cons: A little bit expensive for what you get - but we felt that with El Salvador in general.

Pros: Quiet family run hostel, clean, helpful staff, nice common areas, good breakfast, affordable. All good.

Lovely family-run hiatal in a quiet part of Suchitoto.

Pros: The staff/family that run the hostel are so lovely & very helpful with any questions. The daily breakfast was really good, and the communal space was nice to relax in. Although the hostel is away from the centre of town it’s only a short walk and the area is very quiet and safe.

Cons: The single room was very hot (I was there at the hottest time of year which may be why!).

A home away from home in the beautiful town of Suchitoto

Pros: Stay here and you'll feel like Suchitoto is your home! The ladies running this hostal were warm, sweet and always accommodating. If there's anything you need they're always there to help or chat with you, even with my language barrier! I was extremely lucky to chat with them about the history and culture of the area and learned alot! The breakfasts were also great. And the common room was super cozy and chill, I loved the hammocks and mountain view. Everything was clean, tidy, and organized. The hostal is in a nice location. I had no issues walking the area around the hostal at night. In fact, if you do need to grab a dinner go to the pupuseria next door, one of the best dinners of my entire trip. Everything you'll need is in walking distance.

Cons: I had room Number 5 I believe, it's downstairs and around the corner. I wasn't able to access wifi from my room, but I could still access it from upstairs in the common room. The neighbor does have roosters so if you aren't a heavy sleeper keep that in mind. Though honestly the chickens didn't bother me all that much. No AC but that's to be expected for such an affordable price!
