Incredibly friendly and helpful staff

Pros: The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, the room was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped, cute garden and some tables to eat outside and enjoy the weather, everything is very nice. Short walk to the beautiful beach of El Zonte and surrounded by restaurants and tiendas. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and I would like to thank in particular Samuel, who helped me in a very stressful situation with a shuttle bus. You will be well taken care off at La Canasta

Cons: Everything was perfect

Pros: The location was perfect! And the food at the restaurant was very tasty, although a bit pricey. We loved the inside yard and the hammocks, it was the perfect setting to wind down.

Cons: We stayed in an upper level room with a balcony, which was amazing, but we could hear all the noise from the street (cars, people talking and stray dogs barking in the middle of the night). That was the only downside of this place, but we loved it anyways. Next time we'll bring some earplugs ;)

I recommend La Canasta as excellent.

Pros: So friendly and cozy. Nothing fancy but really nice and super friendly. The garden, outdoor shower, hammocks and good kitchen facilitiies and close to the sea and nice restaurants and cafees.

Cons: Would like cleaning every day. Not much room for luggage.

Relaxing stay

Pros: Everything was clean and in good condition. Friendly people and beautiful garden views. Excellent peaceful location.

Loved every minute of my stay.

Pros: Spotlessly clean, with a beautifully kept garden. I loved the small private outdoor space, the outdoor shower, and all the thoughtful details. The air conditioning worked perfectly too.

Cons: The outdoor toilet has a low door frame, and I accidentally bumped my head on it (twice). I’d suggest adding some foam padding to soften any impact.

Pros: Really great place!! It was a little more than I wanted to spend but happy I did because they take such care in there rooms/ the whole place. Super clean and quiet. Only issue really is they have drinking water available but it’s pretty much always empty. I just bought water at the store.

Pros: Great location and lovely room. The shared kitchen area is really nice and very well equipped. The gardens and setting are beautiful. . The staff were all lovely, especially the housekeeping ladies. I unfortunately broke my phone whilst I was staying there and one of the guys that works there found an unlocked phone for me to borrow which was a life saver!

great option in El Zonte

Pros: Location is perfect right in the centre of El Zonte - which means just a little walk to restaurants and also to the beautiful beach.

Cons: it was a bit expensive in value for money but that goes for all the cost in El Salvador I guess

Lovely Stay Close to the Beach

Pros: We enjoyed our stay here! The location is fantastic, just a 1-2 minute walk to the beach, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The room was great, with well-functioning air conditioning, and the shared bathroom worked perfectly. Having two restaurants on-site was also a nice bonus. Overall, it was a good experience, and we’d recommend it for the location and comfort.

Cons: The only downside was the check-in experience. The staff seemed uninterested, and we weren’t shown around, so we had to figure out things like the location of the bathroom and shower on our own. It wasn’t a big issue, but it didn’t make for the most welcoming start.

Good place for single traveler

Pros: Good place for short and longer stay. The garden is beautiful, kitchen well equiped. All you need is 3 minutes walk. But as you mainly stay here for surfing I would instal either a keyless (code) entrance or a safety box in a room.
