Layback Surf Hotel

Clean, comfortable but a bit pricey for what you get.

Pros: Very clean, comfortable, spacious room and kind host.

Cons: There is a (sort of) swimming pool, very small and all of the outside areas are shaded by trees. No choice to sunbathe unless you walk to the beach. A bit confused by breakfast, I was given a menu and chose pancakes with bacon. It arrived without bacon because they didn’t have any. I asked if they might have fruit and was given some marmalade. A nice place to stay but I think it’s very overpriced.

Pros: Good choice and I liked the flexibility of when we had breakfast.

Layback was perfect for our group. The location, the plunge pool, the lovely breakfast. We would stay here again !

Pros: Raul was the perfect host. Marilyn made a lovely breakfast. Laundry facility was super handy. The pool was greatly received, couldn’t survive the heat without it. The position of Layback was perfect for beach and restaurants.

Great for a short stay in El Tunco.

Pros: The staff is very friendly, they helped us with the instructions on how to get to the place and once arrived they we're really kind and friendly at all the time. The facilities are located next door to the party area and the surfing beach, offering a swimming pool and carpark.

Cons: Lack of toiletries provided.

Pros: - Great location a stone's throw from the beach. - Right in the heart of El Tunco, but down a street which makes it quiet. - Raul the owner is chill. Really nice dude who will make you feel at home.

Relaxing stay and lazy beach days at El Tunco.

Pros: The hotel was nice. It is more like a house/hostel with a few guest rooms than a hotel. The host was on site and very friendly, available, and resourceful. The ladies who worked during the day were super helpful with making breakfast, coffee, washing our clothes, and cleaning. The site was secure and also parking was secure for our car. El Tunco can be noisy but the location was sheltered from most of the noise. Room and bathroom were basic but clean and generally comfortable. most important is that there is AC in the room! Pool is small but we had it all to ourselves on the day we enjoyed it. Wifi worked well. Very close to beach, maybe 50meters walk. Very close to cafes, restaurants, bars, shops.

Cons: Not really anything I would complain about.

Pros: La ubicacion es muy buena, el staff muy atento, las instalaciones adecuadas, la limpieza de la habitación excelente y medidas de seguridad del hotel excelentes.

Pros: Convenient location close to all the amenities at El Tunco. Has a shower/bathroom in the room, cold water only. Has a code entry lock very convenient. Good and hot breakfast is made to order. Has an excellent air conditioner. Has secure parking.

Cons: Beds are a little too hard. Road is made of dirt so during rain is muddy and slippery. No tv in the room.
