Pros: Super friendly staff. Shown us 2 rooms to choose. Helped with organizing a driver. Hot water. Some 7 min from the main square.

Cons: ALL rooms have NO WINDOWS! Except for one in the second floor. Breakfast tables are on the floor between the rooms, so if you have a room there, you will be awaken by the noise at 6am. Very thin walls, you hear literally everything from outside. A few shelves/hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. A hairdryer in the hotel would be useful as well.

5* staff and fantastic value!

Pros: I chose this hotel because of the good reviews and very cheap price. My room was fine, bed and sheets very comfortable, the air con worked and was quiet, and shower was OK but water not very hot. Honestly for the price I paid it was very good value! Note that the socket was a 2-pin so my 3-pin adapter didn't work, but the reception found me an adapter to use during my stay. The staff are 5* and make all the difference! They went over and above to get me last minute tours, and I had a fabulous 3 days around the area! The food is also 5* and not only delicious but superbly presented. The hotel is 6mins walk from the cathedral and conveniently located for bus and Uber.

Cons: The rooms, as in some old colonial buildings, don't have windows, but this is frequent in central America. Between the row of rooms is a restaurant (worth eating at!) so some mornings you may wake with people talking. Take ear plugs and eye mask, as the light from the a/c is bright. No towel rail or hooks for towels in bathroom but that's not very important. For little more than the price of a dorm in a hostel, this is a bargain!!

Pros: We got a warm welcome from the staff. There is a nice atmosphere in Velvet, the rooms are beside the restaurant so there is always staff available. We arrived super early but the staff made us very welcome with complimentary coffee and they got the room ready for us very quickly which was appreciated after a long journey.

Nice an friendly location with great food.

Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. We requested a takeaway breakfast for 7 AM before our visit to the Santa Ana Volcano, and it was promptly prepared and waiting for us at the designated time. The food was delicious, and the breakfast options were not only plentiful but also generous enough to be a full meal, ensuring we had plenty of energy for our adventures.

Cons: The Deluxe Room was rather small and lacked a window, which made the space feel a bit confined. While it’s suitable for a short stay of one or two nights, staying longer might feel claustrophobic or less comfortable due to the lack of natural light.

Pros: Staff was polite and helpful. Food was good. It was easy to settle down.

Cons: Outdoor entrance wasn't lighten properly. If it's your first time, you can get confused with other businesses around at night. In a room for two, you have only a sheet for cover. The same goes for towels. Only one towel for two people. The bathroom door was rusty and noisy.

Pros: Well decorated, nice and secure place. Very kind and helpfull personal, they speak good english. Tasty breakfast and good coffee. They also have some food and drinks for sale. Wifi. 5 minutes walk to the center of town.

Amazing!

Pros: Amazing stay! The property was located in a great area, the room I stayed was lovely, and the included breakfast was really good. All of the staff were extremely friendly, and were great at answering all of my questions. I would stay here again.
