Comfortable. Quiet.

Pros: Comfortable, very quiet, I had a great night of sleep. Inexpensive.

Tranquil neighborhood, decent hostel

Pros: The staff were welcoming and nice. The house /apartment is spacious and decently equipped, with both indoor and outdoor chillout areas.

Cons: There were a weird bunch of guests, including some people who seemed mentally ill and need help.

Pros: Comfortable beds, clean, helpful staff, has a kitchen, calm, feels safe

Cons: Just one bathroom (toilet shower combo) for the upstairs dorms can get a little busy if the hostel is full, it wasn’t full when I was there so not too much of a problem though The location is a bit far from the centre, an hour to walk or you can take bus 16 (beware the last bus going back to the hostel goes at 19:30 or so)

Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfy beds and very convenient location

Good value for money, out of the city centre

Pros: Good price, lots of places close by to get food (restaurants and supermarkets), very close to the bus stop, friendly staff running the desk, free water, information on bus routes, maps of El Salvador, common living room, kitchen and terrace.

Cons: Just 1 thin sheet and small pillow in the beds

Pros: Spent my last two days in San Salvador at this hostel in the shared dorm. The room was spacious and also with its own large bathroom. In the hallway just outside, you have lockers to store your valuables (you need your own padlock). Decent size communal area both inside and outside on a patio. Didn't use the kitchen other than the fridge, but it was easy to cook your own food if you wanted. Everything was also very clean. The host/staff was also really friendly. Area was really nice with a lot of restaurants and bars close by as well as some smaller mini-marts. 20 min walk to the shopping area with Super Selectos++. Another 20 min walking you in the heart of Zona Rosa with even more restaurants and bars. Overall, I really liked this hostel.

Solid hostal with nice budget option for private room.

Pros: Good location. Walking distance to nice restaurants, El Arbol de Dios, etc, though you will need an Uber or driver (not hugely expensive) for further afield. Spacious. I had a private room which had a lot of space. Patio and living room is spacious. Staff generally helpful - put me in touch with good driver. I stayed in private room (3 beds) for $50 a night. Btw - no reason to worry about safety or any of that stuff.

Cons: Could have had more drinking water available. I got told off for filling my water bottle more then once in a day. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect drinking water to be available in the price.

Pros: Clean, hot water, good kitchen, cozy terrace, big TV, helpful receptionist, good price

Cons: Very bad location, no places to eat around. Kitchen and cleaning workers started breakfast very early and laughed very loudly each morning. It wakes you up early. Unprofessional.

Pros: Kitchen facilities were good, lounging areas inside and out were plentiful. Safe area in the city.

Cons: More than 1 bathroom /toilet for the upstairs would be good
