Kali Hotel

Pros: Good customer service - staff offered us a choice of rooms and gave us bottles of water for our journey as we departed.

Nice room 10 min out of town

Pros: Staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. Large room, good bathroom, nice to have hot water again after few months of travel . Breakfast was good and varied.

Cons: I wouldn’t book this as a solo female traveller as the area around can feel a bit intimidating if you are at all nervous. We were fine but i wouldn’t want to walk there by myself as not many people around after dark.

Pros: Location is very close to the square. The breakfast room staff, the cleaning staff are very nice. The reception staff can speak Spanish only but the guy help us to take the luggage to the second floor. It’s a norm in Central America with most hotels don’t have lift and flexible shower head, just the fixed stand alone from the top.

Cons: Can hear noise from next door, coughing, sneezing, etc.

Dodgy surrounds

Pros: The room was clean, beds comfy - all very standard.

Cons: The restaurant appeared deserted most of the time, service not good. Surrounds did not feel very safe, rather rundown and dirty streets in the vicinity.

Pros: So yourself a favour and stay at Kali Hotel in Santa Ana. Air conditioning, hot water, great renovated room with a comfy bed, t.v. with streaming services, all staff are very friendly and very professional. Front desk assisted with drivers and checked on our experience. English spoken at checkin with our bags brought to the room for us. By far, the nicest stay we had in El Salvador. Great restaurants within 7 to 10 minute leisurely walk. Osmond, thank you for your excellent attention to detail and sincere care. Restaurant on site with complimentary and tasty typical breakfast. Water amd cookies provided throughout the day at front desk.

Cons: Everything was amazing. Only a suggestion, there is a beautiful rooftop area, I encourage the hotel to place a few tables or chairs on the rooftop for guest enjoyment, although it is clear it is used for events. Clean washrooms provided on rooftop

Pros: The helpfulness of staff. Nice breakfast, clean room and comfortable bed

Pros: Great breakfast with a spacious room. Constant coffee a the front desk which was delicious. Staff here were extremely friendly and helpful for booking tours, organising taxis etc Comfortable bed with a/c

Jewel in Santa Ana

Pros: Anything that needed attention was seen to in rapid time. Breakfast was varied and quite sufficient. Staff were very friendly. Parking staff were amazing

Cons: An extra hanger or 2 for clothing would be nice and perhaps a shelf in the bathroom
