Casa Central de Santa Ana

Pros: The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in for a long time at a hostel. The hot water in the shower was good and the bathroom clean. The kitchen area was fantastic, everything clean and new with all you need to make good food. Plenty of tables and chairs and some comfortable settees. The location is ideal and nice and quiet. Great value for money.

Cons: I hate leaving negative feedback when a hostal has been so good. The only thing I would say is the room I had is on the small side but good enough for a few days and after all you can't have everything! Maybe I should bring less things.😁

Pros: Great location and easy check in. Responsive host on Whatsapp. Clean room and hot water in the djower. Fast wifi. Quiet room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Overall good quality for money.

Cons: There was one staff member who knocked on my door two days in a row early in the morning when I was still asleep. She woke me up and on both occasions when I went to the door she asked if I needed anything. This was quite strange to me. If I needed anything I would have asked. You don’t have to knock on the guest’s door to wake me up and ask.

Pros: Very nice and helpful staff, good location, clean room

Pros: We got moved to another place of the owner but that was super comfy, great shower pressure, well equipped kitchen

Cons: the other place was slightly far away from the centre but there are some great local food choice

Exactly what you need for a few nights in the city

Pros: Exactly what you need for a few nights in Santa Ana. A central location, a comfy bed, AC, (TV with Netflix which was a treat!) and friendly staff. Good room for a couple travelling. Exceptional value for money for a private room in the city.

Cons: Nothing we didn't like about the property. The common areas like kitchen and outside areas were pretty basic so nowhere to really chill outside of your room but for a couple of nights exploring the city this wasn't essential for us anyway

Pros: Nice hostal close to the cathedral and everything you want to see and do. My room was spacious and comfortable. The A/C worked fine and so did the wifi. I didn't meet the owner/manager, but I always got a quick reply online when I had a question. Unless you sleep like the dead, stay away from rooms 4 and 5. They open up on the kitchen/laundry room and there always inconsiderate people preparing food or doing a wash at 5:00am or 11:00pm. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and recommend this hostal to anyone visiting Santa Ana.

Ideal location with spacious rooms

Pros: Great location, spacious room, shower with different temperatures. Kitchen and fridge. You can do your own laundry (paid).

Cons: Rooms 4 and 5 only have windows that open into the kitchen, which can bring in smells and noise.

Central private and quiet couples/family accomodation

Pros: The location is perfect! Central to everything, but really quiet, perfect for couples or families. We joined activities at surrounding hostels but had our own privacy. The staff were responsive, helpful, and explained everything clearly. The washing machine and dryer worked well, and the kitchen has decent equipment for making meals. The wifi was good, and the property was very secure (code door to lock).

Cons: Shower had little to no hot water; luckily it was hot so we didn’t need it. Only provided one toilet roll for a 3 night stay.

Pros: Good location, has hot water, filtered water, fridge, good wifi, tv you can correct your phone to, good price, every kitchen essential for cooking.

Cons: Wall super close to the toilet, no window in room.

Pros: The hotel felt secure, with a keypad entry system. However, there are no staff on-site for extended periods, which at times was a bit inconvenient. Hot water and water pressure could have been better. On the plus side, the manager was responsive via WhatsApp. The location is great—just two blocks from the cathedral and main square, which has a lively atmosphere. It’s also set away from any main roads, so there’s less traffic noise. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Cons: The room was fine, but noise from neighboring guests carried quite easily. It would be helpful if there were signs asking guests to keep quiet during certain hours and to avoid using the kitchen or washing machine late at night.
