Cardedeu Hotel Lago de Coatepeque

Amazing location.

Pros: The ground were immaculate. Great views. Food was very good.

Cons: The outside of the property was lovely but the rooms were just ok. There was no coffee maker. The pillows for a king bed were not even double size. They were tiny. There were weeds growing on our balcony. Just one chair on the balcony to sit on. I feel like most places we have visited in El Salvador… it’s all very new and now the people involved in tourism need to start to learn minimum expectations. We are not precious travellers… but for the price we are paying we def do expect nicer things. The rail had broken off the wardrobe bit… and no one had fixed it…. Please learn from what we are saying…. A lot of American and European tourists who pay $200 a night would expect these as minimal. We LOVED our stay in El Salvador and the people are amazing…we appreciate it’s all new for you… so hope you can take on this advice.

Amazing

Pros: The view was amazing, the service was perfect, they have people who speak English at the front desk even a little kart that can transport you from lake view to lake front cause the hill is kinda steep. We went there after 2 weeks of travelling thru Central America without hot water, we kinda need vacations in vacations 😂 and we got exactly what we were looking for! Room service we had drinks serve In our « private » pool and even breakfast delivered there! Thanks for the amazing time THEY HAVE HOT WATER 🚿

Wonderful location with great views. Quite noisy and not service orientated.

Pros: The Location is fantastic. Wonderful views. The restaurant on the property is providing decent food.

Cons: The staff is not really dedicated. As the doors are quite thin, you can hear everything from there parking lot and the streets below. Therefore I think it’s unnecessary that their staff is coming and going right by the lobbywith loud motorcycles in the early mornings and late evenings.

Pros: The view of the Lake. The activities and the restaurant are really nice.

Cons: There was no hot water in our first room. We changed and still no hot water.. at the price we would have appreciated the hot water. Only downside

Pros: Great pools with great views. The hotel has 3 of them and one small in a suite.

Pros: Me encantó la vista al lago, la tina, y la comodidad de la habitación

Cons: El restaurante tiene muy pocas opciones y la relación precio calidad no es buena. No tiene estación de café ni desayuno incluido.

Espectacular.

Pros: La atención del personal fue excelente, siempre nos hicieron sentir cómodos, nos consintieron, siempre estuvieron atentos, siempre fueron muy amables y abiertos. Considero que toda la experiencia fue espectacular, las vistas y el lugar estaban preciosos, pero la atención del personal hizo que la experiencia fuera inolvidable.

Cons: Hace algunos años nos hospedamos con unos amigos, la habitación fue espectacular a la orilla del lago; en esta ocasión llevábamos a unos invitados especiales y cuando hicimos la reserva no nos percatamos que habían 3 tipos estadías, entonces cuando vimos habíamos reservado 2 habitaciones en unos contenedores en el área de LakeView y otra habitación en la parte de Lakefront, y pues tuvimos que quedar todos separados. Pero el personal nos resolvió y nos apoyó, he hizo que nuestra estadía fuera inolvidable. Al final supimos que la primera vez nos habíamos hospedado en Cardedeu Residence.

Pros: Rooms within a few steps to the lake, good shower with hot water, beautiful views of the caldera and volcan Santa Ana

Cons: room felt a bit run down, trouble sliding door to bathroom, no outdoor chairs on our patio when we arrived, very little privacy on the lower tier patios, lakeside bar had a strong sulphur smell, room missing key items for this price range such as coffee maker and safe.

great place, really, the views are amazing and overall nice experience with my family

Pros: It was nice, great place to stay at if you something to do at the lake.

Cons: they have a restaurant which am not sure if they are the owners but desserts and appetizers way overpriced for the size, when asked they just said thats how its done, had to return dessert out of principle
