Pros: Great atmosphere, super social and very relaxed vibes. Various equipement in the kitchen which made cooking very easy. Mini market offered great items for affordable price! Beds were very comfortable and AC worked very well. Great, friendly and helpful staff. Walk to town or to the beach was super doable.
Cons: Lack of storage room to store away bags/items. Another sink + mirror in the bathrooms would be convenient.

Always sunny duck dive
Pros: I was recommended this hostel from friends and it really lived up to my expectations. I had 6 nights here and would loved to of stayed longer. All the staff and volunteers were really nice and friendly, especially Filipa who was a hidden gem and was great fun to be around! You should definitely buy a keyring off of her, she makes them herself and is very artistic. All in all, a great stay to end my travels and wishing everyone there a Happy Christmas.
Cons: Probably could of done with more space in the rooms to put your belongings but the hostel is new and still in working progress.

Amazing value can’t wait to come back would recommend
Pros: Brand new building - awesome showers and toilets. Pupusa making night was brilliant and so much fun. Owner and staff make an effort to create a fun and social environment which is appreciated. Good kitchen with everything you need. Eggs and drinks can be purchased on site which is great. Chilled vibe with really friendly people. Cheap laundry service. Special mention to superstar Sari who keeps the place spotless! She works so hard and is so helpful :) Overall fantastic value would love to come back when the place is finished. Can pay by cash or card.
Cons: Loved everything - just some notes to mention before coming to manage expectations: The hostel is not quite finished yet so don’t be alarmed surrounding area is still under construction. Towels are not provided. No lockers. Access to property from/to town either over the stream or via the main road.

Good value hostel a short walk to El Tunco
Pros: Good surfer vibe hostel and value for the money. The rooms had A/C. They did activities every day so there are options to socialize. I also enjoyed the cash mini market by the kitchen, it made it easy to get ingredients or snacks for the day. Good amount of showers and bathrooms so never had to wait too long if at all.
Cons: The location is not all that accessible to the beach or the town, you have to cross a river that is highly questionable water quality or walk along a dirt path again avoiding the dirty water. It grows on you after a couple times but still a smelly adventure. The town was building a bridge sidewalk on the muddiest part so maybe in a few months the walk will be less sketchy. The bunk beds are also light metal so every movement shakes the top and bottom bunks so not recommended for light sleepers or if you move in your sleep. Also climbing to the top bunk I almost tipped it over.

I liked it
Pros: It was on the outskirts of town, but really close by. It’s very walkable. Close to a great and cheap cevicheria. The music was good, the staff was nice, and the layout was really open air. People seemed to respect quiet hours so that each person had the autonomy to decide if they wanted a 3am night or not, instead of that being enforced on them.
Cons: It is quite new, so there are parts of it still under construction
