Hotel Michanti

Lovely place to stay in El Zonte

Pros: This place exceeded my expectations with how comfy and spacious the room was. The bed was super cozy. The room had plenty of natural light and a charming garden area where you could sip tea at night. Plus, it was nice and quiet after dark. The breakfast was included with our room, and it was some of the best breakfasts I had in El Salvador. I also had something different every day. There were plenty of outdoor spaces (lounge chairs, pool, hammocks) to enjoy during the afternoon, since that was the peak heat time. My husband has worked while we were here and the Wifi was really strong for calls and work.

Cons: A mini fridge and a bigger closet would have been nice in the room

Cute and relaxing

Pros: Michanti is very cute and very relaxing. It rooms are basic, but you don't come to El Zonte to stay in the room. The pool and the surrounding garden are lovely. I usually prefer exploring restaurants and dining outside of my hotel but we enjoyed the vibe and the food so much that we decided to dine twice in Michanti. Location is also very nice, just a quick stroll away from the beach. We loved both Michanti and El Zonte.

Cons: Price - El Zonte is not very affordable compared to some other Central American destinations but Michanti still offers a decent value for money.

Pros: Awesome place, loved the location, close to the beach but very quiet. Kind staff, great food options and overall very clean. Just a very cool place!

A relaxing place to stay with great food and a nice pool

Pros: This is a great place to stay in sleepy El Zonte. It's a short walk down to the beach. Situated off the main road so nice and quiet. There's a pool and restaurant, the food is on the pricy side for El Salvador, but the quality was excellent. Lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean, be aware that there is no hot water so showering in the morning will wake you up, the water is warmer later in the day, but not hot. It wasn't a problem for me personally as it's very hot outside. There are a few sun loungers around the pool and also some hammocks to relax in above the restaurant. There a couple of places to eat in the same street, but most of the options are on the other side of the river.

Absolutely perfect

Pros: The staff was super friendly and helpful, and always had a smile for us. The food was soo good, everything on the menu was delicious. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Absolutely perfect! Will definitely come back.

Amazing stay in El Zonte

Pros: The hotel was great! The staff was really friendly, we were able to chill by the pool before check-in time. The rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was great, you can choose from a lot of options. The pool is beautiful and refreshing, with enough beds/chairs. We also enjoyed the free yoga on site. The beach is located 5 min walking from the hotel.

We stayed 2 nights. Good facilities, in the middle of the village close to everything incl. beach.

Pros: Very clean and well-maintained, quiet and green hotel. Delicious food.

Must stay when in El Zonte

Pros: Excellent staff. Food is outstanding and excellent value for money. You have to stay here when visiting El zonte.

Pros: Located within a few minutes of the beach and far enough from the road to be quiet. Most of the rooms here are different, this is about a superior king room. The bed was large and very comfortable, good pillows. Opens onto the garden and pool area which is excellent. There is plenty of seating around the pool and on an upper deck level. A great place to relax. Breakfast was good and the food served all day of excellent quality. Worth noting that the water in the shower is unheated. Not exactly cold, best call it refreshing!

Cons: Unfortunately the design of the hotel means you need to keep the window curtains closed almost all the time as it opens onto the main walkway through the hotel. Feels rather shut in.

Pros: The pool area is lovely and the hammocks are very relaxing upstairs. Great restaurant and bar - the food is delicious
