Olas Permanentes El Zonte

Absolutamente perfecto

Pros: This place is run with love, every single employee runs around to keep you hydrated, fed and happy, the owner and management work tirelessly to keep you happy, the food is amazing and its location is insane, so close to the beach, they have surf instructors who will give you helpful advice even if your not a client, I would seriously take any bad reviews with a pinch of salt, already booked up for another 4 weeks, the price is absolutely reasonable, don’t miss out on a top notch hotel in the heart of el Zonte. Can’t thank them enough for everything they did.

Cons: Everything, nothing was too much they work tirelessly for your enjoyment, oh and it’s completely silent by 21:00.

Pros: This was our third time at Olas Permanentes, but our first time staying there as guests in a room. We come every year and enjoy their excellent food and drink at the beach, but usually returned to San Salvador in the evening. This time, we decided to book a room and it was definitely worth it. The weather wasn't playing nice for us unfortunately, but it was great to be able to wake up and enjoy an amazing breakfast at such a beautiful beach location. Of course, being able to pay in Bitcoin is a huge plus.

Cons: The shower was cold; the facilities were very basic. But neither of these is a huge negative - they're more or less expected for a small local room at what is largely a beachfront eatery/bar/event locale.

Pros: Location is about as good as it gets, right next to the beach with a restaurant overlooking the shore. It's easy to organise surfing lessons, board hire, laundry e.t.c. Staff are very helpful. Restaurant food and drinks are good.

Cons: It's very pricey for what you get. Restaurant is nice, but plagued with stray dogs who are very interested in your food (albeit not aggressive).

Pros: Restaurant and bar on the beach. Pizzas were delicious.

Pros: So, its the second time I have stayed during January in consecutive years.. Staff are so friendly and helpful, place is clean, location is great right on the beach, amazing sunsets, great food, bitcoin accepted, hopefully back again next year.

Pros: Great location right on the beach, very tasty food in the restaurant including the breakfast, very nice people and the whole service - especially Sandra, clean rooms and shared bathrooms

Cons: Prices in the restaurant were little higher compared to local restaurants, but the food was really good though, the place was also quite busy for the whole day with people just coming to the restaurant

Ocean dream view

Pros: The view on the ocean and the proximity to the beach. We saw the best sunsets of our lives.

Great stay

Pros: The bed is super comfy and it’s so nice being so close to the water. Staff were so lovely.

Cons: The bathroom needed a hook for towels and clothes.

I rode waves all afternoon and walked a bit for some great food. I love El Salvador and would absolutely stay here agai

Pros: Always a mystery to show up to a place booked online. That is what travel is all about though an i right? My room is small with a giant bed and air conditioning is on and ready. For me this is what i need, as i am surfing and enjoying the waves directly in front of the hotel. I rented a board from the hotel and went out to enjoy my afternoon well past the sun setting. The room is dark when the lights go out so i know im about to get that sleep and be ready for dawn patrol.

Cons: It’s not a big deal to me but if you mind sharing a bathroom, outside of your room you may have a problem with it. I’m sure there are rooms here with there own bathrooms but i went with the bottom floor shared space. No problem at all

Pros: Beautiful view of beach, nice size rooms and good food

Cons: No complaints, looking forward to going back and seeing finished renovations
