Palo Verde Sustainable Hotel

Excellent

Pros: The location is right on the beach, the food is to die for and staff is incredibly helpful. The hotel has beautiful pool and facilities that are superb standard

Pros: Great location, delicious food and comfortable room. Cool beach vibe for hanging out. Good selection of cocktails and mocktails.

Cons: It was less relaxing than usual due to extensive renovations going on. The hotel warned us in advance and we accepted that it would be noisy. The level of noise at lunch however made it difficult to relax while we waited for our room to be ready. In the end, we had a good time anyway but will return after the renos are finished.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, especially the pool and outdoor area. The staff are so friendly and helpful.

Pros: The breakfast was delicious, the location was great, and the food we ordered for lunch was excellent.

Cons: Our sun bed that had been reserved for us wasn't covered from the sun properly because of the angle of the umbrella, so we got very hot sitting there. The next day they gave us another sun bed and it had better coverage, so it was much better.

Great sea-side boutique hotel, with nice beach and great amenities.

Pros: Lots was good. Staff was amazing, drinks were great. The pool was really nice, the room was nice. Overall, this is a very nice, small boutique hotel ont he sea side. Note that the beach there is great. Dark soft volcanic sand with nice big waves.

Cons: The food was good in general but it could have been a bit better. Maybe smaller portions and a bit more attention to details (better bread, better quality oil).

Pros: Nice ‘small’ high class hotel, great atmosphere, nice interior and view

Pros: The location was excellent. It was nice and quiet but also easily accessible to other locations. Beach access was immediate and I loved that you could see the ocean from the restaurant and our balcony

Cons: Overall the room was clean but we did start to notice a sewer type smell when flushing the toilet from time to time which wasn’t very pleasant

Diamond in the rough

Pros: I liked everything about this place, from the rooms to the pool and the location. I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again in the future.

Cons: There was nothing I didn't like.

Great hotel but don’t expect much from service

Pros: Great location in front of one of the local breaks. The dining area has a great view.

Cons: I was late one day for breakfast, something like 20 minutes but I was hoping I could still get something to eat. I found being charged for ordering a la carte a bit too much considering this is one of the most expensive hotels in el Zonte and I left good money there throughout my stay. There were also a couple of more occasions where the staff wasn’t very cooperative / helpful. Finally one day my room wasn’t cleaned at all.

Beautiful pool with a scenery to match.

Pros: The restaurant was very nice. It was a relaxing stay and the pool is very clean and the perfect temperature. Staff was also very friendly, especially those working by the pool and restaurant.

Cons: There are not great seals on the room doors and windows, so there are a lot of bugs and mosquitoes in the room. We ending up sleeping with bug spray on.
