Hotel Tortuga Village

Pros: Beautiful, small hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly. The bungalows are so cute. We really liked the lounge area underneath each one that allowed us to relax in a hammock or eat in close proximity to our room. The pool and beach area are well cared for.

Cons: Our only complaint was the lack of vegetarian food options. The entire menu is filled with meat and seafood options. That being said, the staff worked with us and managed to come up with some delicious vegetarian variations. We also had to pay for food service every night before going to bed rather than at the end of our stay - so go find someone to pay before going to bed.

Small and private fantastic beach hotel

Pros: Lovely private hotel with spacious rooms and fantastic outdoor living rooms below the bungalows. The pool was big and enjoyable, beach private and good for swimming, breakfast was tasty and the beach bar enjoyable.

Cons: Everything was fantastic

Hotel Tortuga Excellent Service & Stay

Pros: Excellent staff and service. Comfortable room and bed. So pretty, spacious and the private cabins on stilts, all in wood, really a lovely feeling. The bath in the bathroom was a lovely surprise and I enjoyed an evening bath. Different zones - the cabins zones with almost private verandas, the swimming pool zone with many little different areas within it, the bar zone with straw and wood furniture / shading and then the beach zone with little \

Cons: Some clients had no respect about noise and would play their own personal music very loudly. I don't know why this is acceptable - it really is not. The staff do need to have the courage to challenge clients who behave like this. The bedroom needs a little cupboard for clothes - I was there 3 days and it is hard to live out of a suitcase. The room is really beautiful but a small, pretty cupboard will not spoil it.

Great hotel with beautiful grounds and a lovely beach

Pros: Very cute bungalows with downstairs area including hammock. Beautiful pool and well kept grounds. Literally on the beach front which was clean with great surf. 2 nights wasn’t enough.

Perfect stay with amazing views, rooms, food and staff.

Pros: This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, scenery, beach and food. Everything was perfect and I am set on coming back.

Pros: La plage est magnifique , les chambres sont confortables et le personnel est toujours prêt à aider avec le sourire.

Cons: Le restaurant, nourriture très ordinaire et chère on vous charge même le lait pour mettre dans le café le matin. Un soir le poulet était tellement sec que nous n'avons rien mangé ,on a eu droit à un rabais de 15%... Nous avons découvert malheureusement le dernier soir qu'il y avait un excellent restaurant juste à côté accessible par la plage.

Pros: Great place if you’re looking for peace, quiet and total relaxation on the beach. Staff was attentive, place is extremely clean for El Salvador standards. I would recommend to friends!

Cons: They don’t allow you to bring your own alcohol and food. Although they didn’t really enforce it. It’s a strange policy in my opinion.
